African Art Show 2004

 Flatlanders proudly presents The Second Biennial, African Art Show and Sale . This exhibition sale will be open to the public from Thursday, Nov. 11 th through Sunday, Nov.14 th 2004, with the opening reception planned for Sunday, November 14 th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. This exhibit is free of charge.

Featured will be the work from tribes throughout Africa . Ceremonial boxes from the Bamoum tribe of Cameroon , masks from the Punu tribe of Gabon , sculpture from the Clao tribe of Mali , the Fan Tribe of Cameroon and numerous others. This sale is made possible through Michel Dammron, Owner of Farafina African Art Imports.

Originally from Paris , Michel now lives in the United States in between his six to eight trips a year to what he calls his spiritual home, Mother Africa. He has been captivated by the spirit, wisdom, warmth and artistic energy of the people of Africa . Making friends and contacts over most of western Africa, he has access to the many wonderful and intriguing art forms produced by African artist, and has come to share them with the Midwest via Flatlanders Art Galleries.
