Cynthia McKean

For the past ten years Cynthia McKean has been using her talent to create lively, brightly colored sculpture from structural steel. Her sculptures consist of natural shapes drawn from the environment as well as geometric forms such as rectangles, circles, or squares. Having grown up in Montana and Wyoming she has a deep appreciation for wide-open spaces and thus has had a "long-standing satisfaction with the interaction of the natural environment and the built environment."

Cynthia has exhibited in the Art ‘Round Town public sculpture exhibition in Saugatuck, MI for three consecutive years. Some recent exhibitions include Images of Our Environment, Naples, FL, the Holland Area Arts Council, Holland, MI, the Schedel Arboretum & Gardens, Elmore, OH, the Mise Memorial Rose Garden, Saugatuck, MI, and Sculpture Michigan in the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Her artwork is currently represented by The Button Gallery of Spring Lake, Michigan, Freed Gallery of Lincoln City, Oregon, and Steinway Gallery of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
