Rope Tricks: an exhibition of recent works by Tom Druecker |

Flatlanders Art Galleries proudly presents "Rope Tricks", a solo exhibition of prints by Tom Druecker. The exhibition is free of charge and will be open to the public from April 18th, 2004 to June 25th, 2004. An opening reception with the artist is planned for Sunday, February 15, 2004 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Don't miss the other solo exhibitions being held in Flatlanders' other gallery spaces!
Tom Druecher is a lecturer in the Department of Art and History at the University of Texas in Austin, where he also teaches intermediate and advanced lithography. He and Margaret Simpson are the co-founders and the directors of Slugfest Printmaking Workshop in Austin, Texas. Tom is also a member of the Mid-American Print Council, The Austin Visual Arts Association, and the American Print Alliance. He states: "I am strictly a printmaker. I begin working by making a series of printing elements. These can be litho plates or stones, copper intaglio plates, linoleum or woodcut blocks, or even Plexiglas monoprint plates. These printing elements can then be combined and recombined and recombined in various colors and configurations to produce unique prints and editions" |
