Saul Rubenstein - a sculptor, who works in stone, began his career in the late 1990s. Before embracing sculpture full time, he had a successful career as a physician, specializing in ophthalmology in Michigan. He credits his surgical experience as an important preparation and invaluable training for working with stone.

Saul grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan. He later studied stone and clay sculpture at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC) and the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

His work has been described as both emotional and strong. Saul Rubenstein’s subject matter is eclectic and is expressed as stylized in a variety of forms. In addition to being publicly accessible in galleries, his work also resides in private collections.
